When we lack boundaries because we have been raised in a healthy, stable environment.

When we thought love is real, unconditional and there is no hidden agenda, where everyone has their best interest at heart because when you feel safe and protected you don’t need boundaries not even think of such, you believe things are easy and you know deep down that you will be supported in all ways.

As a matter of fact, you become this virtuous persona as much as you don’t know how to react and behave outside of your family, you only know tenderness, you are not prepared for the bad and the ugly that might happen out there, and you are confused when you create relationships with others. You might be in big trouble in that regard, setting yourself up for drama and trauma.

You feel like an alien that no one understands, you look like a lunatic, a white sheep in the middle of the colorful ones, you are a complete foreigner, others wonder how great person and good-hearted you can be, how can that be possible?

The downside is that if you are to gentle, you might as well be hiding your meanness, so they will protect themselves from your kindness, because they know life can be tricky.

At first, you are flawless, unpolluted, you are like a child, cheerful, sincere and open, you don’t know how to be tough until they spill their monstrous poison onto you, but you will not change, you will remain the same golden-hearted, you will definitely learn boundaries and you will start applying and teaching some.

You will then start engaging in the outsiders vocabulary, and dealing with them will be a problem in the beginning until you recognize and you accept yourself as unique, you will also analyze that no matter what, they will never move, nor grow or adjust, they are not even aware of what they are causing.

You will realize that you are not sick nor crazy, you are just different and different does not mean you are better or worst, simply you have been raised in a safe environment.

In addition, you will master how to protect yourself and work with others closely, but you will uncover how to do their dance as they are the ones who will not budge, you are the one who will stretch and practice to do so.

However, you will have the awareness of who you truly are, and why you are that way, the best part is that you will not even expect for them to trust you, to understand you, to love you, self-sufficiency is your landing place.

By the end of it all, they will have no other option but respect you, as you will assertively stand your ground without losing the best side of you, you are a sweetheart at your core, and you will always be.

In other words, you will learn how to show some teeth for you to not let anyone misguide you or abuse you, yet, you might seem guarded but surely you will never lose your impeccability.
