Growth happens beyond our comfort zone.

We continuously seek for people to understand us, (to be completely similar) because we don’t want to do any personal improvements on ourselves.

The truth is we should be able to get along with everyone that crosses our paths and accept those differences even when they feel challenging.

However, that requires us to not be so self-serving and absorbed for a minute.

When we don’t understand our internal life, how can we be understood by another, never mind being open to see the others perspectives?

Evolution and evolving has proved time after time that we need opposition in order to survive.

Affinity can retain success and moving forward, two antagonistic ways of relating may contribute better for the bigger picture and to fulfill our soul purpose.

Personally I have almost always been around those who do not understand me, and I have felt like an outcast most of my life, also I may have refused to collaborate or connect with those who are not like me, so I have kept myself to myself as much as I could.

Although, when I figured out that all this opposition has caused me to see things from all angles, I can now see it more as a blessing than as a curse.

Surely, it feels good to be surrounded by your soul tribe, but you will not push each other to propel into self mastery as much as working with other soul groups.

We need to exchange and share our experiences in order to learn as much as possible, to hold hands and lift each other up.

If we are all the same, think the same, or have the same values and beliefs we will only be able to accomplish a few tasks, and always face lack in other ones, as well as we will probably get bored due to too much resemblance.

Thus, don’t just look for those who completely get you, and have the exact lifestyle as yourself, be on the lookout for growth, and that only happens beyond your comfort zone.

Ex: The whole idea of relationships between two opposites attracted like the moth to a flame, it is so they can make it to the finish line once they accept each other fully, meaning to integrate your own yin and yang. When it happens you are able to be in a relationship with anyone, including yourself.
